How the Transparent Screen Works

Most LCD writing tablets have a solid dark screen. This one is see-through, so anything placed underneath shows clearly through it. That simple difference turns the writing tablet into a reusable tracing board.

Tracing with the Picture Sheets

Each of the 10 sheets is printed on both sides with the outline of a different object, such as a car, a fish, an aeroplane or a drum. A child places a sheet under the screen, traces over the lines with the stylus, then lifts the tablet away to see the drawing on its own. One press of the erase button clears the screen, ready for the next design or another try at the same one.

Free Drawing and Writing

Without a sheet underneath, the screen works as an ordinary writing tablet. Children can doodle, write their name, practise letters and numbers, or work out simple sums, then clear it all and start fresh, with no paper, pencil shavings or eraser crumbs.

What's in the Box

• Transparent LCD writing tablet (pink)
• Stylus
• 10 double-sided picture sheets (20 designs)

Key Features

• See-through screen: picture sheets show through clearly, so children can trace outlines directly.
• 20 designs to trace: double-sided sheets give plenty of variety from the start.
• One-button erase: the screen clears instantly, so children can practise the same shape again and again.
• No backlight: the screen does not glow like a phone or tablet, and the writing is seen by ordinary room light.
• Reusable: one board replaces stacks of scrap paper for drawing and practice.
• Easy to carry: the tablet and sheets fit easily into a school bag or a bag for the car.

Writing and Drawing Practice at Home

The tablet fits easily into everyday routines. Younger children can trace the picture sheets to get used to holding a stylus and following lines. Older children can practise letters, numbers and shapes, or try sums before writing them in a notebook. Parents can also draw an outline on paper, slip it under the screen and let their child trace it, which makes it easy to practise a name or a new letter.

It also helps on car journeys, at restaurants and in waiting rooms, where a quiet activity without loose paper or colours is welcome.

Which Age Is This Writing Tablet Suitable For?

The tablet is suitable for children aged 3 to 8 years. Children at the younger end usually start with tracing the picture sheets, while older children use the screen more for writing, numbers and their own drawings.

Good to Know Before Buying

• Drawings are not saved: the tablet has no memory, so once the screen is cleared the drawing is gone. A phone photo is the easiest way to keep a favourite.
• Needs room light: because the screen has no backlight, it is used in normal daylight or indoor light rather than in the dark.
• Keep the sheet flat: tracing works best with the picture sheet lying flat and straight under the screen.

Caring for the Tablet

• Use the stylus that comes with the tablet, not pencils, pens or sharp objects, which can scratch the screen.
• Write with gentle pressure; pressing very hard is not needed.
• Keep the tablet away from heat and direct sunlight, and avoid dropping it.
• Wipe the screen with a soft, dry cloth.

A Gift for Birthdays and Eid

At Rs. 900, the tablet makes an easy present for birthdays and Eid, and a practical choice for return gifts at children's parties. It also makes a useful activity for school holidays and long family journeys.
